Aura & Astrology

Aura & Astrology recently opened at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, offering a place where visitors can receive personal guidance, explore their energy, and discover meaningful objects selected to support beauty, harmony, and spiritual connection.

Founder Sanjay Soni was born and raised in India, where Vedic astrology, or Jyotish, has long been part of everyday life. His own interest began in childhood with a fascination for understanding people and the deeper patterns that shape their lives. He studied palmistry in high school and later devoted years to Vedic astrology, learning from some of India’s most respected teachers.

Alongside earning an MBA in Business and Tourism, Sanjay studied yoga and Vastu, allowing him to approach each person from a holistic perspective. For him, astrology is not simply about predicting the future. It is a way to help people better understand their strengths, challenges, purpose, timing, and opportunities.

Sanjay and his wife, Shelby, first visited Sedona with their family in 2023 and immediately connected with its beauty and peaceful energy. While walking through Tlaquepaque, Sanjay felt clearly that it was where he should offer his readings. When the family moved to Sedona the following year, they saw an opportunity to create something distinctive: a destination devoted to astrology, spiritual insight, aura photography, and meaningful sacred goods.

Visitors are welcomed into a space that feels both vibrant and serene. Aura & Astrology offers Vedic astrology consultations, palm readings, aura photography readings, numerology, and astrocartography. Some guests arrive with questions about relationships, family, career, business, money, or life purpose. Others simply feel drawn to explore something deeper within themselves.

Every session is personal. Sanjay’s intention is to meet each guest with sincerity and respect, whether they have ten minutes for a palm reading or choose a more in-depth astrology consultation. Having read more than 4,000 palms in Sedona, he has found that beneath the many different questions people bring is a common desire for understanding.

His approach is rooted in the traditions of Jyotish and shaped by years of study, observation, calculation, and logic rather than psychic practice. The most meaningful moments come when someone arrives feeling uncertain or overwhelmed and leaves with a clearer sense of direction. What once felt confusing becomes understandable; what felt heavy begins to feel lighter.

The boutique extends that same intention. Shelby’s background in design informs a space filled with color, craftsmanship, and purpose. Together, she and Sanjay select natural-fiber clothing, sacred jewelry, astrological remedies, artwork, organic beauty products, incense, and spiritual gifts. Many pieces come from India, reflecting Sanjay’s heritage as a member of a family of goldsmiths and artists. Whether chosen after a reading or simply because it resonates, each object offers visitors something beautiful and meaningful to carry home.

For Sanjay and Shelby, Tlaquepaque offered a natural home for their vision. Its architecture, fountains, flowers, art, and timeless atmosphere invite people to slow down and remain open to discovery. More than anything, they hope Aura & Astrology becomes a meaningful part of each guest’s visit to Sedona: a place where they found insight, beauty, and a deeper connection to their own path.
